Latvian delegation from Ogre visited Chernihiv

Recently Latvian delegation from Ogre, headed by Artūrs Mangulis, the Chairman of the Ogre Municipality Council, had a meeting with Olena Vyshniakova, the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Latvia, and representatives of Chernihiv City Council. A number of issues were discussed within the meeting, including enhancement of cooperation between the two countries, Latvian aid in cultural and social spheres.

Olena Vyshniakova facilitates the cooperation between Ukrainian and Latvian companies. Lately, Ainars Mezulis, MP of the Saeima, visited Chernihiv. He suggested a wellness program in Crises Center for children of the ATO soldiers. And as the result, on the 20th of June children from Chernihiv will go to Latvia on vacation. The same offer was made by the delegation from Ogre.

The Honorary Consul is also planning to organize a promotional tour for the most well-known Latvian tour agencies. “We want to demonstrate touristic facilities of Chernihiv region and create positive image of Ukraine.” Olena Vyshniakova said.

In Cultural Center LatviArt visitors could tour an exhibition of children’s works “My European Future” and interchange gifts with the Honorary Consul.
