Latvi Art Cultural Center invites you to visit the exhibition devoted to the history of Independence of Latvia

Our exhibition is dedicated to the Latvian people long-term fight for independence and freedom.

Latvia witnessed a lot of challenging historical and political moments: division of the state and seizure of territories, war, fascist and soviet repressions, and genocide.

Proud people withstood the strokes of fate, and thanks to their will and strive for freedom has reached their goal – on May 4, 1990 Declaration of Independence of the Republic of Latvia was proclaimed.

For every Latvian it is a national holiday, the event that had been waited for almost 100 years.

We want to tell about the most important steps and milestones of this history of fight for freedom, national self-determination and their right to live in free and independent country.

Every nation has the right to its own history and its own independence.

The exposition is open May 1st through May 20th. Admission free.
